March 27, 2006 Girl Please Talk Show Launch Party and Screening on March 25, 2006 at Club Fuel in Studio City was a success! That included a special performance by host Loren Cross. Director Shawna Baca was on hand to introduce the presentation as well as give insight on how the project was created and developed. There were introductions of the co-hosts, Fawn Malise, Katie Ward and Jessi Morales. They asked the guests trivia questions about Episode #1 "Getting Some Or Getting None". The winners received T-shirts with Girl Please on them, videos, and free passes to Swerve Studios in L.A. for a "Jazz grooves" class with Loren. Club Fuel looked chic and the patio was the perfect setting for the food catered by La La's also located in Studio City. The ambience was completed with a colorful and radiant flower arrangement from Reseda Flowers. Not to mention the red roped viewing area and staff in t-shirts with Girl Please on them. Need I say more…. Future plans for Girl Please Talk Show is to market and promote the pilot episode in hopes of getting a development deal and or contract with a media company that could develop and complete the number of episodes needed for a full season of programming. Not limited to television we are open to radio, pod casting, internet, cell phone, and all other media markets including stage and comedy club performances. All inquires should be directed to www.girlpleasetalkshow.com email or contact Loren Cross at 818- 802-1295. April 15, 2006 Loren Announces the Launch of an apparel line of t-shirts and underwear called "Girl Please Apparel." The overwhelming enthusiasm from the guests at the Girl Please Launch party and screening has prompted us to make this apparel and add another element to an already uplifting and positive endeavor that is revolutionizing the way we view "Girl Please" as a phrase and the empowerment of finding something in common with people from all walks of life even if it's only a couple of words that most people or at least those who have some idea about what it means or how it's used can bond with and chuckle about as well as those who find there own interpretation, the end result is laughter. Let's talk about it. May 3, - May 7, 2006 Girl Please does New York! Loren attended the Tribeca Film Festival for a Short film he Choreographed called "Game" which was nominated for a special promise award. While at the festival Loren had the opportunity to promote Girl Please Talk Show which included giving away some of the new Girl Please t-shirts, 3 minute promotional DVDS, and the postcards everyone keeps requesting. Oh and by the way we stayed in Chelsea, N.Y. what a wonderful community. Loren ran into Sandra Bernhardt who was oh so happy to except her Girl Please t-shirt. We hope she's wearing it. |
June 15, 2006 Loren shoots music video with fellow comic and funny man Bruce Baum and friends. The video is called "Bald Like Me" which is a parody of the Puss Cat Doll's hit song Don't cha . June 21, 2006 Girl Please sails into Seattle! And what a splash, we trekked up to Capital Hill to spread a little Girl Please love and found that Seattleites have a great sense of humor. The t-shirts were a hit! While in Seattle I had my Mathis family reunion which is my moms side of the family from Texas it was a blast, the theme "Christmas in June" complete with all the trimmings, gifts, and yes, Santa. Girl Please Talk Show and Apparel travels down to Texas in a big way! They truly know the meaning of Girl Please! Thanks ya'll I had a great time. |
